Some of our artifacts are currently on display in our Exeter Practice in the Guildhall Shopping Centre. You are more than welcome to come in and have a look! You'll find ear trumpets, vacuum tube table top hearing aids, an old medicine book and spectacles from the 1920s.

Queen Victoria had recently ascended the throne and the City of Exeter was still facing serious problems of disease and poverty.

Less than a decade earlier there had been an outbreak of cholera, but now the city had built a water pumping station to bring unpolluted water into the city, but there was a real need for pharmacies to make the healthcare of the day readily available. And that's where Broom Reid & Harris's story begins...
