What is H.A.L.O.™?

H.A.L.O.™ has three key stages, each part designed to optimise a particular aspect needed for successful hearing:

• Firstly: understanding the way you hear sound, what you want to use your hearing for, and identifying any constraints that might limit your potential.
• Secondly: optimising the tuning on your hearing aids, to ensure they are correctly aligned with your hearing, and so they react appropriately in ‘real life’ situations. Also we want to be sure you know what you're doing with them!
• Thirdly: improving your own brain’s listening skills in challenging environments such as groups, fast talkers and competing background noise, with a home-based software/DVD course called LACE that’s been clinically proven to provide up to 40% improvement in listening skills.

What Do You Get With H.A.L.O.™?

1. Your initial assessment, including hearing test, assessment of your hearing objectives and potential, reading the settings off your hearing aids (if applicable) so we can see what we're working with.At this stage we will advise you whether or not H.A.L.O.™ would be suitable for you before you decide whether to benefit from the programme.
2. A hearing aid optimisation session, during which we will use various techniques to ensure that you are getting the optimum settings for your hearing and that the hearing aids are set to achieve your specified hearing objectives.
3. A licensed copy ofLACE , the home-study course with exercises designed to improve your listening skills by up to 40% (worth £135).
4. At least one follow up session to check your progress, ensure that your hearing objectives are being met, and to provide you with relevant advice.
