The Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals

Today's hearing aid technology is advanced to a point where properly fitted instruments can do a great deal to alleviate the misery of hearing loss. It is vital that the application of this technology is applied correctly otherwise results can be disappointing. If you experience hearing difficulties, a visit to an AIHPP member will guarantee that you receive impartial advice about the instruments that are best for you, and that the aids will be fitted properly and adjusted to suit your hearing loss.

Dr Brian Moore, Reader in Auditory Perception at The University of Cambridge and President of AIHPP. He heads the UK's leading research team specialising in hearing aid development which has been responsible for some of the most advanced speech processing systems in the world. Dr Moore has published numerous books and papers covering his specialised field and is held in the highest regard by professionals throughout the world.

The Association of Independent Healthcare Professionals (AIHPP) is a group of leading hearing aid audiologists who are committed to promoting and maintaining the very highest professional and ethical standards in hearing healthcare within the private sector.

By accepting the responsibility of membership each practioner has agreed to deliver an exemplary, unbiased service in audiological assessment, independent advice, expert fitting of hearing instruments and the security of quality long-term aftercare.

Mandatory on-going training programmes in new technology, instrument methodology and audiological procedures ensure that patients can confidently receive the most up-to-date help available.

AIHPP is recognised by the Government and will be amongst those consulted when national policy changes in hearing healthcare provision are considered.

In addition to the code of conduct laid down by the The Hearing Aid Council, all members of AIHPP:
