The Association of Independent Healthcare Professionals (AIHPP) is a group of leading hearing aid audiologists who are committed to promoting and maintaining the very highest professional and ethical standards in hearing healthcare within the private sector.
By accepting the responsibility of membership each practioner has agreed to deliver an exemplary, unbiased service in audiological assessment, independent advice, expert fitting of hearing instruments and the security of quality long-term aftercare.
Mandatory on-going training programmes in new technology, instrument methodology and audiological procedures ensure that patients can confidently receive the most up-to-date help available.
AIHPP is recognised by the Government and will be amongst those consulted when national policy changes in hearing healthcare provision are considered.

In addition to the code of conduct laid down by the The Hearing Aid Council, all members of AIHPP:
- Operate from a permanent centre which is fully staffed
- Carry out hearing tests in accordance with British Society of Audiology recommendations
Equipment in permanent centres includes:
- Electronic hearing aid analyser
- Insertion gain measurement facilities
- Tympanometer
- Speech audiometry facilities
- Sound level meter
All members have agreed to:
- Remain totally independent
- Attend the Association's mandatory education programmes
